Look somewhere else!

Since my job-description kinda changed, I won't bother you here any longer!!

Check out my daily doings at www.eurovision.net, where I have a section called "Per's adventures in Helsinki"..... Since it's intended for the fficial site, the content is rather uncritical and itsprimary aim is to please the sponsors, yeah, I sold out!
...So maybe I'll return here, if something/somebody pisses me off!
The picture is from the eastern archipelao of the coast of Helsinki... Apparently somebody went sailing today, but read more about that @ www.eurovision.tv.

rehearsals, press conferences and promotional vodka!!!

... So yesterday the press-centre opened, but nothing much really happened, 'cus nobody was performing anything. Unlike today where the first contributions to the semi-final have rehearsed... Somewhat entertaining the first time they perform, but after three times, it gets kinda dull!!

I saw Bulgaria whose Safri-Duo like performance reminded me of home... then I watched Israels contribution "Push the Button" which has some quite interesting political undertones, that were also the centre of attention at the following press conference... This is a loooooooong debate which I will not dive further into (Those of you who understand Danish can simply scroll down to see what I think of Israeli politics!)

Yesterday the entire Eurovision.tv team went out to dinner, and these guys are really great. I'm so fascinated by their dedication to the Eurovision, seriously some of them have even been to the national finals in the Eastern European countries.... This guy, Marco has been to Albania, Montenegro and even Belarus, now that's dedication for ya right there!!!

No seriously they are all nice guys, and their knowledge of this entire thing is so overwhelming to a newbie like myself, even though I would like it if they talked about something else once in a while!

The funniest thing so far is that as a member of the press you are assigned to a pigeon-hole which the various delegations fill up with promotional crap which must have cost them millions to produce... My boss Sietse even got a totally obscure bottle of vodka from the Belarussians... I uploaded a picture at the mobile blog on http://www.esc2007.net/!
I'm doing that mobile blog for TeliaSonera and Nokia who gave me the sweetest new Nokia N95 phone, which can do almost anything... and I mean anything, this morning it made me coffee!!

I'll head off into the realm of Eurovision again then... Tomorrow I'm taking part in a press conference somewhere, which will be nice for a change - A press centre can only stay interesting for a while you know.... even though the mob of people here is what some might refer to as a freakshow.... I mean, I wouldn't you know!

Remember to check the mobile blog mentioned above for pictures... And there's even a video of me somewhere on the Eurovision.tv site... exposure is king!
